Julia Hamilton is a Research Assistant at DPRA Canada. Julia holds an M.A. in Criminology and Sociolegal Studies from the University of Toronto and a B.A. (Honours) in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a Concentration in Psychology from Carleton University. Much of Julia’s experience is in the areas of organizational effectiveness, diversity in organizations, and socio-economic research and assessment. She has extensive experience in project management, interviewing, data analysis, liaison with public and private sectors, and report writing.

 

Prior to joining DPRA, Julia spent 5 years in various research positions. She worked for the RCMP Canadian Firearms Program where she specialized in firearms research, licencing, and Indigenous issues. Julia has also worked in various research positions at the University of Toronto – Rotman School of Management. Her experience in these positions is primarily in the areas of organizational effectiveness, diversity and inclusion, and crime prevention.
