Dragos Ifrim

Dragos Ifrim is a Senior Associate with DPRA and an economist. He holds a Masters in Economics from Carleton University and has significant training and work experience on topics such as data collection, processing and analysis, sample selection, questionnaire design, price indices, and project management.

Prior to joining DPRA, Dragos worked with Statistics Canada for more than twelve years, most recently as an Assistant Director, Western Region and Northern Territories. In this capacity he was directly responsible for the delivery of Statistics Canada’s programs and services in the above area, ranging from managing the data collection activities to promoting Statistics Canada’s products and services and liaising with data users.

Since joining DPRA, Dragos contributed to projects sponsored by Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC), Health Canada, British Columbia’s Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations (MFLNRO) and a number of private clients.

Dragos has extensive experience working with First Nations and contributing to major projects such as cost-benefit analyses and socio-economic assessments. He has a thorough understanding of the challenges faced by stakeholders when attempting to collect and process the relevant information and brings to the table concrete solutions to accomplish their objectives.
