Salma Talha is a Research Assistant at DPRA Canada with a strong background in applied economics and data driven policy analysis. She holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Ottawa. Her academic training focused on international trade, health economics, and empirical research, with an emphasis on analyzing large administrative and survey datasets to inform evidence-based decision making.
Before joining DPRA Canada, Salma worked on multiple research and policy related projects across academia and regional development. Her experience includes studying the economic effects of trade exposure on labour and health outcomes, supporting regional investment and economic planning initiatives, and conducting quantitative analysis for applied research projects. She is skilled in data cleaning, econometric analysis, literature synthesis, and translating complex economic findings into clear insights.
