Melissa Alexander is a Senior Associate with DPRA Canada. Driven by a commitment to partnership and collaboration, Melissa has worked with governments, Indigenous organizations, and diverse communities to drive public policy, strategic planning, and program implementation initiatives.

 

Prior to joining DPRA, Melissa had a ten-year career in the public sector serving in multiple leadership positions, including as Director of Programs and Policy Development with York University and as Director of Policy, Planning and Consumer Affairs with the Government of Nunavut. Her career has included the development of high-impact legislative and strategic policy initiatives, oversight of complex consultation and engagement strategies, and delivery of community-based programs and services in the areas of education, community safety and economic development.

 

Melissa holds a Masters in Public Administration from Carleton University, a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from York University and certificates in change management and foresight.
