Tanya Hill is a Senior Associate at DPRA Canada and active within DPRA’s Program Evaluation and Applied Health and Social Research practice areas. Tanya leverages over 25 years of experience working in diverse communities across Canada as an Evaluator and Health Promotion Specialist. She has contributed to developing healthy public policy at municipal and provincial levels and has developed strong collaborative partnerships with government, health, and human service organizations to address complex community problems through utilization-focused planning and evaluation. She is proficient in various evaluation approaches and designs, including theory-based evaluation, contribution analysis and results-based management.

Before joining DPRA, Tanya worked in public health, supporting effective public health practice and health equity through program evaluation, research and knowledge translation. Tanya completed evaluability assessments and developed evaluation frameworks for programs such as perinatal mental health, sexual health and substance use harm reduction.  Tanya also has experience working with Indigenous communities in several different capacities.

Tanya is a Credentialed Evaluator through the Canadian Evaluation Society, a certified Results-Based Accountability Professional, and a graduate of the University of Alberta. She holds a Master of Public Health in Health Promotion and a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation Administration.
