Timm Rochon is the President/Chief Executive Officer of DPRA Canada, responsible for the company’s overall direction and management. As the manager of individual projects, Timm provides direction and expertise for projects with budgets ranging from $20,000 to $ 2.5 million. He has a Masters in Environmental Studies from York University and is a designated Credentialed Evaluator through the Canadian Evaluation Society.
Timm has 25 years of experience at the regional, national and international level working with resource companies, Indigenous people, government and the public. His consulting activities focus on Indigenous and community development; socio-economic impact assessment; resource development; regulatory reform; policy research and program evaluation. Active in the Indigenous and Public Consultation and Engagement service area, Timm has strong skills in public and stakeholder consultation/communications, facilitation and strategic planning. He has had considerable success in integrating local and Indigenous knowledge into resource management models and decision-making processes.
Timm understands the challenges facing diverse parties including resource developers, Indigenous communities, and governments/regulators. He has provided leadership with informed strategic advice based on research, analysis and his own extensive experience. This, combined with decades of working directly with the private sector, Indigenous organizations and all levels of governments, has given him an in-depth understanding of the context for projects in the North and the rest of Canada. As a result, Timm is uniquely capable of leading multi-disciplinary teams with a proven integrated approach to challenging projects.
