Samuel Hanig is a Senior Associate at DPRA Canada in the Organizational Effectiveness practice area. He is a Ph.D. candidate in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at the University of Waterloo, and holds an Master’s degree from the same program. He completed his Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at the University of Toronto. His research has been published in top-tier management journals including the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Journal of Organizational Behavior on topics in leadership, job performance, and occupational health psychology. He has completed substantive coursework on organizational behavior, personnel management, and advanced research methods and statistics for the social sciences.


Samuel has worked extensively in the areas of organizational effectiveness and social sciences research, with significant exposure to healthcare and higher education organizations. Before joining DPRA he was a Specialist in Organizational Effectiveness at Baycrest Health Sciences, focusing on organizational culture development, employee engagement, and change management. Prior to this, he served as a research lab Project Manager at the Department of Psychology, University of Waterloo, and assisted with research in clinical psychology at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. He has engaged in stakeholder and organizational effectiveness consultations with both public and private sector clients.
